甲田千晴の作品 「記憶の狭間にあるもの」/ “the beings between my memories” (2022) は、インスタレーションとデジタル彫刻との組み合わせです。お持ちのスマートフォンで以下のリンクから、ARビューアーにアクセスし、インスタレーションの青い棒のから横に出ている白黒の「ARマーカー」( 7 x 7 cm ) を画面に収まるようにスマートフォンを近づけると、デジタル彫刻 (アニメーション) をみることができます。

<エラーが出た場合の対処法>

スマートフォンでARビューアーを使用する際、ARマーカーを認識する為にカメラ機能が必要となります。カメラが無効の場合、Webcam Errorが表示されます。スマートフォンの設定でカメラを有効にしてください。

iPhoneの場合
設定 → Safari → 「モーションと画面の向きアクセス」をON、「カメラとマイクのアクセス」をON にしてもう一度お試しください。「カメラの許可を求めています」というメッセージが表示されますので、許可を押すとARビューアーが使用できます。iPhone ７から１２まで動作確認済みです。また、iPhoneの場合サファリをお勧めします。ChromeはではARビューアーがエラーが出ることがあります。

Androidの場合
Chromeの使用をお勧めします。Chromeを起動しアドレスバーの右側の設定を選択します。
設定 → サイト設定 → カメラ → サイトにカメラの使用を許可する前に確認するをONにする。
「カメラの許可を求めています」というメッセージが表示されますので、許可を押すとARビューアーが使用できます。

曇りの日や夕方３ー４時頃がよく見えます。ARマーカーに日が差している時間帯はデジタル彫刻が見えない場合があります。下の写真のようにマーカーに日が当たらないよう影を作ると見えることもあります。

Chiharu Koda’s work “the beings between my memories” (2022) is a combination of installation and digital sculpture. To view the digital sculpture (animation), open the AR viewer with a smartphone and hold the smartphone close to the black and white “marker” (7 x 7 cm) so that it fits into the screen. Then the sculptures appear over the marker.

What to do if an error occurs

When using the AR Viewer on a smartphone, the camera function is required to recognize AR markers. If the camera is disabled, a Webcam Error will be displayed. Please enable the camera in your smartphone settings.

For iPhone
Go to Settings → Safari → Turn on “Motion and Screen Orientation Access” and “Camera and Microphone Access” and try again to open AR – Viewer. This has been tested on iPhones 7 through 12. Chrome may cause an error when using the AR Viewer.

For Android
We recommend using Chrome: start Chrome and select Settings on the right side of the address bar. Go to Settings → Site Settings → Cameras → Check ON before allowing sites to use your camera. You will see the message “The site is asking for permission to use the camera”, press “Allow” to use the AR Viewer.

The digital sculpture may not be visible on cloudy days or in the evening around 3-4 p.m. When the sun is shining on the AR marker, the digital sculpture may not be visible. You may be able to see the digital sculpture by creating a little shadow as shown in the photo below.

“Three Hot Springs of Mimasaka – Art Temperature” is an art event held at three hot spring resorts in northern Okayama Prefecture. The event, which features a collaboration of hot springs and art, is held every three years, and this year will be the third.

This year, a record number of 26 artists from inside and outside the prefecture will exhibit their works. This event is full of highlights, such as how up-and-coming artists, from veterans to young artists, will direct the hot spring inns and how they will stimulate the sensibilities of travelers visiting the hot spring inns.

Another feature of this year’s event is the increased opportunities for participation by several different artists and units at a single onsen inn, in the hope of adding depth, freshness, and breadth to this event.
