Interaktive Exhibition “Imaginat”

The project “Imaginat” was an interactive exhibition in which visitors could directly experience the connection between analog and digital forms of expression.
At a table in the center of the exhibition space, participants created three-dimensional compositions using materials such as painted wood, ecological plastic, 3D techniques, and colored paper.
A camera captured these compositions, and an AI interpreted them in real time—generating flowing landscape images and projecting them onto the wall.
These evolving images were influenced by photographs Koda had taken along the Rhine and the Old Rhine.
In this way, a continuously growing artwork emerged—one that linked the past and future of the Rhine near Karlsruhe, becoming visible as a dynamic, collective image.

Das Projekt „Imaginat“ war eine interaktive Ausstellung, in der Besucher*innen die Verbindung von analogen und digitalen Ausdrucksformen direkt erleben konnten. Auf einem Tisch in der Mitte des Ausstellungsraums gestalteten sie dreidimensionale Kompositionen mit Materialien wie bemaltem Holz, ökologischem Kunststoff, 3D-Verfahren und farbigem Papier.
Eine Kamera erfasste diese Kompositionen, woraufhin eine KI sie in Echtzeit interpretierte, Flusslandschaften generierte und diese in Echtzeit auf die Wand projizierte. Die entstehenden Bilder waren von Fotografien beeinflusst, die Koda am Rhein und Altrhein aufgenommen hatte.
So entstand ein kontinuierlich wachsendes Kunstwerk, das Vergangenheit und Zukunft des Rheins bei Karlsruhe miteinander verband und als dynamisches Gesamtbild sichtbar wurde.
